Abdun narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Hamza, on the authority of al-A'mash, on the authority of Ibrahim, on the authority of Abu Ma'mar, on the authority of Abdullah - may God be pleased with him - who said: The moon was split (into two pieces) while we were with the Prophet in Mina. He said, "Be witnesses." Then a Piece of the moon went towards the mountain. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3869)
